Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Glad you managed the scan. You made me laugh with the chocolate comment.

  • I think humour is good. When I lost my hair I joked that Alan & I looked like twins from the backRofl

  • 1.21am and I’m wide awake over thinking and assuming my impeding results are going to be bad news. Anyone else doing the same?

  • Morning Pepper.

I'm awake now so if you're still up and would like to chat, fire away. Hopefully you've managed to drop off, but welcome to our group and please come back later as more of us will be around. Sending you hugs xxx

  • Good Morning Pepper10

Welcome to the group-although I am so sorry to find you awake and joining us.

If you let me know what type of cancer you have I can direct you to a specific group of people with the same cancer.

Of course you can stay in this group too as they are a great bunch here.

    Best wishes-Brian

  • Good morning Pepper

I hope you managed to get some sleep. I think it's very easy to overthink during the long quiet hours of night time when there are no distractions. I would pick my book up when I had those moments.

    Best wishes for your results.

  • I have results on Monday morning s

Best wishes for Monday. Let us know how you get on.
