Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • My RT will be to my lower left femur and surrounding muscles so I'm guessing the effects are just localisedThinking

I do have A LOT of participation only medals lol, I wasn't that quickStuck out tongue winking eyeJoy

But the memories and friends made were the biggest takeaways from them all.

    Thanks xo

  • One of me in action lol... this was a near the end of a 25k trail race only last August through the Donegal mountains... lucky it was downhill cause I was busted! Lol

  • Well your last paragraph is the important takeaway, and better than tactile medals I'd say.

Yeh, I guessed the RT would be trained on your leg but it could go two ways - if you ever get leg waxed, you'd only have to fork out for one and save some brass.  Or, one leg could resemble Teen Wolf's in which case you would need a wax.  Not been a great day here and I'm doolally.  Ignore me Steve xx

  • Superb photo!  I'd be giving a double thumbs up too if I'd have ever been capable of doing what you have.  Again, well done you!

I think I've done wonders walking down to Tesco's!  Hey, and don't do yourself down as you're an obvious achiever; all good stuff to see you through your treatment xx

  • Hi Stevie, amazing running times, and great to see how well your standing up to treatment, I  will gladly say a little prayer for you my friend

    Eddie

  • Hi Puddock, 2 miles sounds good to me, even walking, maybe one day again, well your allowed to dream.

    Eddie xx

  • Awww  Gilly, I  don't know what to say, but  well done in posting a picture, there'll be no stopping you now.

    Eddie xx

  • It worked?  I wasn't sure even though it showed on the thread.  It's a sweet little blackbird my lass sent me as we're both crazy about birds.  And you're a good teacher Eddie - top of the class!  Thank you xxx

  • Awww Gilly, I'm sorry to hear your day hasn't been a good one, and I will say a little prayer for you both that tomorrow is a better one, and there's nothing wrong with being a little doolally my friend, it's what makes you, you, lol, and please don't change

    Eddie xx
