Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • It’s really horrible weather today isn’t it. We’ve gone to visit our grandchildren today the M25 was down to one lane and our hour and a half journey took three and a half hours what a nightmare!

    • I sometimes wake in pain , and need to wait until painkillers work. OR, I'm on steroids after chemo and am hyper active.
  • Hopefully you will get some rest soon. Myself i have never been a good sleeper

  • Hi I was diagnosed with terminal cancer 2 weeks ago and went through a very dark period for days. I had a Picc line inserted in Friday and start chemo tomorrow .I have struggled to sleep more than a few hours each night and seem wide awske from 3 am But I feel more optimistic that the treatment will hold or contain the disease and that there will be quality of life times ahead We all need to keep HOPE alive and spend time with loved ones
