Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Evenin' all
We're still in Liverpool. We took Father-in-law for his bladder procedure yesterday and he's not been too good since, I wonder if it was just too much as he's 95 and quite frail. The surgeon said they won't get all the cancer but will do it again if FiL is up for it.
Did any of you have problems with your nails after chemo? Mine are very flaky, splitting and break easily.
Someone close by is having fireworks this evening, they're quite noisy so I hope they don't last too long. (It's 10pm).
Welcome to our new recruits who've joined us over the last few days, sorry that you need to be here.

Evening all. I'll be 76 in a couple of hours. I suppose that makes it a trombone birthday. Fortunately for the neighbours I do not own one . Getting old(er) is ok at times but I've noticed that I'm getting less productive every year. I am however good at making lists of things that need doing. Must get the stair carpet replaced (I've been saying that for months!). I admire Eddie and others who somehow keep commendably active despite their big C problems. I'm trying to avoid an A&E birthday. My catheters have been very troublesome for two weeks and nurses/doctors have had great difficulty installing replacements, requiring 3 attempts before success about a week ago and similar trouble 2 days ago. Life goes on. That must be a positive! Hugs to everyone. Ray xx
Thank you for your words of support - but got email saying that things I said where not appreciated - I have told Gill H I need to leave this Forum - will sort out what I need to say - not sure where I went wrong
Be back soon - but will miss all of this chat - helped -but there we go
I got it wrong
Take care xx
Evening Ray. If I'm not still awake when tonight turns into tomorrow, I'd like to wish you many happy returns of the day and many more. Fantastic! Apart from all the bothersome catheter business, have you any plans for your birthday or just keeping things on the down low? I did, when it was mine a couple of weeks ago. I really hope you don't spend it in A&E my friend. Sending you birthday hugs and best wishes xxx
