Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Did you mean campaign or have you got bubbly on ice? Joy

    Cheers

  • Hi shims I eat alot of mash potato mainly in my ready meals. I like cottage pie shepherd's pie fish pie. Good to know you are feeling better. Have you had covid ? Everyone I know has had it. Sending big hugs.xxx

  • Hi Hun, I don't believe we go all the way backwards, we may go around again but it's not a circle it's a spiral, so we have moved on. Hugging

  • Evening Gill(s) H and ATW, Shimmers and whoever else has emerged through the Gremlins.

Flat news sounds promising. Wise to keep enthusiasm in reserve, as you are doing, just in case an even better one comes up before the magnolia is sprayed about. No pumpkins here but I have got some pumpkin seeds. If I smear my face with Marmite then use it to stick the seeds on my mush, that should scare the twick or tweet scoundrels away. The chocs look great shimmers. Have any survived the evening? Gill ATW, not heard of soda bread but your baker/local shop sounds lovely. I do like an occasional sour dough loaf. I'm now going to bat this so hard that it will flatten any obstructive Gremlins. xxx

  • Hi dingg it is now 4 months since my surgery and all healed very well. I got no pain from the ear surgery but they had to take a skin graft from my leg and that can still be painful. The scar is 14 inches long. I have longish hair so that covers it. Most people can't tell. I have lost hearing in my left ear but have perfect hearing in my right ear. Hope you are keeping well sweetie.xxx

  • Didn't test for COVID. At first thought it was a fibromyalgia flare up due to lots of stress over bank account etc and pain from duff foot, then full on flue type but then just as suddenly it lifted. Just the dregs left.

    Thanks

  • I feel the same shims. The tiredness gets to me but I think it's the side effects from the RT.xx

  • Ooh the thwack of willow on typed words has indeed done the trick! Well done!

How are you sir? How was the daughter's visit? Did you pass muster?

    Cheers

  • I think we can indulge our tiredness... our body, mind and emotions have done and are doing huge amounts of work. We can give the urge to complete the Times crossword while cartwheeling over freshly ironed laundry the day off.

    Cheers

I eat sour dough bread (wholemeal) normally, also produced here. Makes great toast. I keep it in the freezer and pull out a few slices at a time. I will eat the soda bread as it is until it starts to dry out. I've wrapped it in foil for now.
