Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

In other news, I had a yearning for brown soda bread today, so treated myself. Grin

Ooh, the emoticons have reappeared! But not the option to add a photo. Of soda bread.

Well, I tricked it into posting a pic, then it took some inventive tactics to add text.

    I give up!

  • Do you know, I think the glitches are too many to date, time, device, screenshot etc!!!!

    Cheers

  • I'm well on with project OH. I've told him to imagine we're going on holiday - at first you don't know where anything is or how it works but after a couple of days you do and at the end of the week you're embedded. Only this time we wouldn't have the rubbish feeling of having to leave.

It's working a treat and every time I point out a stumbling block here he nods, in sage agreement. I thought I'd have my work cut out as he's been in this house almost 33 years, but this once peaceful enclave has been taken over with endless racket and horrible neighbours. And the rest.

    Back of the net!

  •   ooh you've waved your  Sparkles

    H️owever my reply went pfft!

It's sooooo good that you don't have fight OH on this. You have earned this week's Trophy

    Cheers

  • Yay! I love a trophy!

My poor OH was defeated the second I announced we were off elsewhere, but he's definitely up for it now, helped along with my relentless enthusiasm and cajoling.

Many thanks for my trophy and it'll take pride of place in our potential new gaff.

Gotta go ladies as TLC is nigh. Should be back around half ten if you're still around xxx

I will still be awake ... I think.

  • Before I go, Gill. I've never tried soda bread but that looks tasty and especially with buttermilk.

A good Oirish name  - Cully.

Laters, if you don't get hacked off with glitches xxx

Soda bread is moist and has quite a unusual, but not unpleasant, smell. Most people in the rural areas make their own. I love the taste, especially with real butter and local ham. Along with brack, boxty and white pudding, this is one of the 'Irish' foods I have discovered and enjoy since moving here.
