Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

    How you feeling today Deputy?

Are you reading any good books and hope you get some sleep.

Here l am again awake but have spiced apple tea which drinking now seems to help a bit.

Also if you suffer from sore joints I've been told that certain fragrance of moisturiser is uplifting but not sure what fragrance that will be maybe Gill has heard this.

Wishing you a celtic wish that thr road comes up to meet you as you travel through the day

I'm supposed to be going to sleep hon, but will always reply while still able to keep my eyes open.

Not too bad Dinggy but it'll be better after OH has had a scan this Friday, then we'll know for sure about the area of concern on his neck.

How's you sweetie? Hope you've not been on bat watch as it's got a bit wild out again xxx

  • Thanks Gill

Hope all goes ok with that, it's always tense waiting for results but of course we have to try to hang onto the fact the scans are going to help us know more. But l often still felt like hubby and me were going to the vet lol

Just having this sleepless thing again, l guess life doesn't go in straight lines. Worried bout my friends but we are all still waiting for scan results there too.

    Hugs and thanks for replying

Will try get some shut eye  x

  • No worries hon.

Yep, let's both try but I'm gonna look for spiced apple tea and that scented stuff tomorrow as I want some now. Blush

Night night hon, sleep tight, hugs and love Heart️ xxx

Yes I nodded off rather suddenly (as usual), it's now 5 am new time so I've missed the end of the chat. Ah well. Today's another day. I'll be finishing one job, may or may not get the go ahead on another and have to face finishing my tax return where the deadline is fast approaching.

BTW, where have the emoticons gone? All I can see is text options and an image button.

A rather late reply as I fell asleep suddenly so I've only just seen your post. Thank you for your good wishes.

I don't read books for pleasure these days. Being a proofreader/editor of words and a sometime (published) author, I do enough 'professional' reading for my poor eyes!

Anyway, I had an unusual burst of energy yesterday and was kept busy all day, so felt a lot better, at least mentally. My legs are still stiff and due to the extreme weather lately and lack of dogs I have not done any outdoors walking for more than a week. I need to get back to that asap. Going up and down stairs several times a day doesn't cut it.

It's now approaching 5.30 but my body is still on summer time so I might get up and empty the washing machine, which should have finished its night shift.

  • Morning Dinggy and everyone else

We had a power cut last night as I was reading in bed - how rude! All good now but my washing machine didn't run during the night so as I was up early I've sorted that. (We're all electric here and get a cheap rate during the night).

if the flat sounds perfect for you then I think I would be pursuing a viewing, I'm sure the landlord wouldn't be happy to hear viewings are being refused, especially as it's been advertised.

  • Anyone awake?

    Yes. I'm around.
