Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Fireworks are a bloody nuisance in general. Dunno if it's true but dealers are supposed to fire them up when a stash has been dropped. A lot of that went on round here the last few years. Another reason we want away xxx

  • Yes, we'd be the same Gill. The thought of someone else taking the house over is a no no xxx

That prolonged annoyance with fireworks would drive me mad! I am surprised that after my 22 years away from the UK this is still the case, as it was being talked about way back then.

Of course, if little Johnny does something stupid and gets burned there will be an outpouring of sympathy, but probably nothing done.

  • Very true about little Johnny.

Girlies, I'm really tired tonight so I'm heading up. I'll try for a siesta tomorrow so more with it in the evening.

Nighty night hons and sweet dreams when you settle down. Hugs and love to you both xxx HuggingHuggingUpside down

I am absolutely NOT having anyone in my house  I get twitchy with visitors even when I am there. When the hospital insisted I had the house deep cleaned before I could be discharged it was a disaster. These clowns did only 10% of the job, broke things, stole things and threw perfectly good items (some new and unused) in the bin. I had bank statements lying about (some of which ended up in the bin along with a signed hard copy of a client contract which I had left out waiting to be filed). So NO, nobody is going to be in my house while I am away other than my trustworthy neighbour who will check everything is okay and turn lights on and off. And I will have a major tidy up as this is a planned absence, not a 999 call for an ambulance which happened last time I was away for weeks.
