Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Maria, if you still can't sleep I'll give you a tip.
As a fellow cat lover I often watch "Donny, the cat whisperer." Just type those 4 words into YouTube and you'll find loads of videos of Donny grooming cats, many of them so vicious he needs to wear gauntlets to comb and wash the feline lunatics! He's a very funny guy and if you watch several vids it just might send you off to sleep.
Yep, sleep isn't coming easy to me either hon, but I've put a film on iplayer that might do the business.
As Ray said, you don't need to part with any cash to join forums here, but a hint...no swearing however angry you are, save that for yelling at the walls!
Righto hon, hope you manage to switch off those thoughts invading your mind and get them onto more pleasant ones. Night night and try to settle down with your fur babies xxx
Hi Deputy
Don't ask, the storm just woke me up after high hopes to sleep like normal person for once. ...yes l was listening to 80s hits before bed to try and sort my head out, had herbal tea all going well. Then awake now...
Hope you have had better luck sending hugs x
Thanks Gill,
If l find something uplifting brewing l try and share it here. Gosh how do they know how many views we get on the site then IT thing?
So l guess many enjoy to read and get a lot of help from that, that's fantastic news, so the idea about the cat calendar isn't so crazy after all.....maybe there's something to the idea, Pippin and the other lovely pets at Christmas pops into mind..
Just got woken by storm of course l did, not too bad though not seen Nanny Mcfee blown past yet or folk on rocking chairs and bicycles...
Take care my Yorkshire lassy friend, hope to travel your way next year to find gramps fish and chips legend in Redcar.....my dream Yorkshire road trip...
No news on my friends tests yet...
Sending hugs to anyone awake, going to try to get back to sleep x
Wow sweet reunion to look forward too, l am so pleased you will see them then fantastic news.
But in the meantime are you getting pics of their escapades?
Our dog found crazy trouble anytime of the day he was a lab so it goes with the territory l guess the way he wobbled when he walked he left a trail of beautiful funny chaos in his wake...
Wait till you see pics of the cats on here too, they really cheer me up x
Sending hugs think of your doggy hugs you will get at Easter will be priceless
Interesting and made me smile to hear
O level again, yes l studied Latin too and l love trying to learn languages but its the fun trying l wouldn't say l have found it easy in many languages but the fun of ordering grub in a new language love it. Gill will laugh, the first thing l think is I'm abroad where to l get cakes etc somethings never change....show us the sticky buns to get energy to go see museum.....
Right now, Easter seems like a decade away. Problems piling up, and little support officially. I will be ringing the ICS helpline on Tuesday (Monday is a bank holiday) to see if I can get any answers.
In the meantime, regardless of any manipulation of what the clock says, my body tells me it's time to start the day.
Morning Ding Dong
Sings: The wind began to switch, the house to pitch...
It didn't really but the wind's blown the green bin over and that's about it - just everyday autumn weather and I never take any notice of scaremongering. The Wizard of Oz was a fraud, just like tptb are now.
Now I think someone with an abacus moves a bead every time a view clocks up and that's how they're counted. A 24/7 job but worth it if our daft posts inspires someone out there. Every little helps, as the phrase goes.
Ooh Dingg, when we were in Redcar recently my eldest treat us to the best fish and chips we've tasted in a good while, so maybe it was the same place gramps enjoyed his. When you make your pilgrimage let us know and an invite to visit us will be extended. A promise is a promise.
You take care sweetheart and I'm sending your friends the very best of luck for their journey. Hey, maybe Ukiboyo will persuade our wonderful Pippin to strike a pose.
Sending you loads of love ️ and hugs
and keep smiling my friend xxx
Morning Gill
A warm welcome to the problem pile up club! Annoyance and worry is the name of the game here too hon, but I'm still trying not to let it break me down. What was that ditty Gloria Gaynor wailed out? Oh yes, summat about surviving, so let's get our best coping heads on and tackle one thing at a time. As for all this help that's supposed to be on a silver platter, where is it? I've found the best way is DIY - the first person you should consult is yourself and then enforce others to listen.
I'll step down from my lecturn now and proceed with today's circus. The so-called extra hour didn't benefit me either. Shucks.
Get yourself a cuppa each time you feel the lava simmering. Big hugs blowing your way sweetheart xxx
