Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Fat but fit! Or at least, I used to be fit. But I can deal with that when the cancer treatment is over.

  • I do get cross when people who are paid to talk on TV do it poorly.

At least news type efforts were flimsy bastions for a while but even they have succumbed.

No doubt there will be some lofty notion as to why but dumbing down and clueless cover it for me.

    Cheers

  • Gill, I thought your final steroid had done a number and knocked you out. So pleased for you that they're out of your life and you can move forward Pray

Girls, I'm going to settle down as my eyes are like slits.

Night night you two and hopefully you'll both sleep well Zzz sweet dreams and 'see' you tomorrow for more tales of the riverbank. Not really but just thought I'd throw it in. Nyt Hons xxx

  • Received pronunciation ... as in received in the best drawing-rooms in the land Slight smile

Of course Oxford English, it is said, became a desirable sound as it was the seat of merchants and traders and therefore was where the money was spawned.

  • Good luck with sleep and hope you don't feel too yuck on waking.

    Sweet dreams, nyt

  • I'm ashamed to say that one of the many reasons I got rid of my TV a few years ago was the people who said 'haitch' (I'm with Gill across the water on that one!); 'An hotel' makes me furious; 'In and of itself' is irritating; 'Fighter jets' bloody hell, the type of aircraft is a fighter. The term had 'jet' added when the power-plant became more common after WW2, hence JET FIGHTER. There are many others!!!  Ashamed, because I would not claim to speak perfect English. Some things are just plain annoying.

So glad that Eddie and his team are continuing with determination and endurance. xxx
