Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

oh you've gone!
Shocking mood? Come on ... when you're back we need to know more!
Have this first oxytocin trumps caffeine
Cheers
I'm back, chomping on a cheese sarnie.
No caffeine Shims, as we use decaff, but choc's welcomed with open arms.
Ok, I'll give a synopsis of the day but will post this first in case the hamsters have been released...
I meant caffeine in the chocolate but I am interrupting... do go on..
Cheers
I had my tea at 10.30, so just letting it settle as it was quite a big serving. Final steroid taken! So the rest of the side effects will kick in tomorrow.
(These emoticons or whatever they are called are either not showing up or are super-sized.)
Hope to 'see' you on here later if I am awake.
So a poor start morning wise. I'd ordered 2 new lary tubes for OH and they came last Thursday. On opening the first box the tube was the wrong size, repeat with the second box which means I've got to reorder on Monday now
Down to the bookies to place bets and the machine broke down mid bet. An inordinate amount of time spent in their sweat-box establishment till it was sorted. Heat makes my blood boil - anger alert!
After shopping, an almost 20 mins wait for taxi to turn up and blood boiling to dangerous levels. Eventually arrived home and fancy Halloween edition choc and orange éclairs have been squashed in their box. I go off the deep end!
During the afternoon I get a message about my poor friend, Eddie. The news is grim and he's under immense duress bad mood quickly turns to sorrow.
Late afternoon I try to log on. Nope, not having it. After charger fiasco last week I realise my phone's reaching its expiry date as it won't charge properly and battery quickly dies. It's on borrowed time and cash will have to change hands on Monday for a new one. Same as last week with OH's mega bucks replacement.
Still no joy logging on and phone goes haywire, so after a day of bad news and irritation I slump in chair and doze off, still angry with OH as earlier blips turned into a raging argument, all verbals on my side.
The good bits. OH and me made up and he won £83 on the nags.
Still no news about Eddie xxx
Sheeeeesh! You need more much more
and
! Hmmm I have both of those ... am I going to kitchen? ... not yet.
Doh boo hiss for phone! Any idea what you want as replacement? What do you need? Plenty storage or good camera or memory or long battery or just something that works?
Awe poor Eddie ... and all who know and love him as this is a torturous roller coaster
Cheers
Oh no, what a terrible day all round! (Apart from the right horse coming in and the OH and you made up). I'm sorry it's been so difficult for you, I would have been at screaming point a lot sooner. I watch Tipping Point and rage verbally at the sheer stupidity and ignorance of some -
Still, it's now tomorrow so let's hope it's a better one for you. Try not to worry about your friend, but that is probably impossible.
Ooh your irritation is fizzing off the screen. Not sure we get the ad you refer to?
My favourite ... Going For Gold, remember that? At the very end a 'viewer' took part via phone. This episode, having not answered correctly once, the presenter told her the final answer ... and she still said something else!
Cheers
Thanks hon, but he's been very ill for a while now. We were full of hope when he returned to our little group a couple of weeks ago and he sounded really upbeat, but after today's news it's been at the back of my mind and probably why I got so angry. I've not told OH yet as he gets very upset and emotional, especially about Eddie as he's very dear to us. I do hope he gets over this latest knock back.
About Tipping Point - snap! How most contestants don't seem to mind making a holy show of themselves on national TV beats me. The answers are beyond the pale. I often wonder how they get through life.
Is the woman in the chair the bingo one, Do as Lisa? Aaaaeeeeiiiii!!!!
A phone that works will be fine, Shimmers xxx
