Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

I have always thought that forums like this are probably very commonly accessed by phone... at least initially.
Folk worried or new to cancer or in hospital scrabbling for info and support probably have their phone to hand.
I have never tried the 'desktop' version. Is that still a term?
Cheers
I don't know hon.
I keep meaning to get our tablet powered up and seeing how that performs as it's gotta be an improvement. It's just a case of getting my arse in gear xxx
You make it sound like you are in your hammock all day with iced tea and a palm frond wafter on hand and we know that ain't the case
Cheers
Oh yeah, shop failed didn't it! Do you have charge wars vying to see who is lowest?
Cheers
I like it. Yeh, I do get some down time but I'm either scrolling on phone or nodding off in the chair.
Aw I wish I hadn't scrolled last night as that poor lad at the safari park popped up. I'm desperately sad for him and his family. Really terrible what happened xxx
I always leap to the defence of the animals in these cases as I think we are often too quick to dispatch them.
Remember the toddler that fell into the gorilla enclosure. Initially the male gorilla helped, but the public went noisily frenetic, agitating the beast who was shot dead.
Years before, Binti Jua, a gorilla with her own child on her back rescued an unconscious toddler and gently laid them by the pen service door so keepers could get them. In that incident the public were stunned into silence.
I am sure the rarity of the current tiger played a part in his survival.
Today the man's family are saying he was on strong meds for mental illness. I only saw a few seconds of the incident but I don't think the tiger showed undue aggression if that makes sense.
Cheers
I totally agree about the animals, who shouldn't be in zoos in the first place unless they're on the verge of extinction and gawping by the public shouldn't be allowed, but this one was different because the young lad was on the spectrum and obviously didn't think the same way as most would.
The tiger was spared and I'm glad, but the comments made about the lad were disgusting and cruel. Poor thing.
Well, that took no less than 4 separate attempts to post and send so I'm getting grumpy now Shims.
Time for settling down hon, so nighty night before I start nutting the wall! Sleep well pet xxx
PS the poor gorilla too. I cried
