Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Photo is a blanket I made (pink/red) ages ago and blue/grey is one I'm making for my brother.

I love the blankets. I've got loads of odd balls of wool and keep saying I'm going to make a large blanket but I always find other things to make Rolling eyes. I've made loads of baby blankets over the years.

  • Welcome back Me, and really good to hear about your holiday and you wearing a cossie! Great stuff and seems like your confidence is back - in spades!

About your chemo hon. My OH didn't have that but plenty here have, so I'm sure they'll be able to reassure you and maybe pass on some good tips.

Where did you go for your holiday and was the weather to your liking? Did you get loads of photos? No need to reply about that if you don't feel like it, but as long as you had a good time then all good.

You're spot on about keeping on going hon, and that's the way to do it. Sending hugs to you and pass those on to your bf for looking after you xxx

  • Hey Me, that's a lovely photo and you're a very good looking pair of people too. Blush If folk are looking I imagine it's because you both look so good and no other reason than that.

I'm thinking though, that posting pics of others might not be allowed, even if bf has given his consent, so maybe Brian can put us straight.

No worries though sweetheart and you keep enjoying Tenerife and all the great weather. It'll do you both the world of good. Thumbsup

Drop by any time you like as there's always some of us around and up for a chat.

Sending warm hugs to a very warm Tenerife. Have plenty of fun xxx Two heartsHugging

  • Hello  and

Photographs are OK as long as they are just of yourself.

    Kind regards - Brian.

  • Thanks Helen. I just follow patterns from attic24 online.  There's lots of photos to follow and it was really easy to pick up.

I inherited my mum's wool supply. It was perfect for making blankets xxx

  • Got back at 3-05pm. Appointment was on time. Same nurse as last time. I was running pink on arrival so urine was sampled for a dip test and further lab analysis. Dip test triggered all 8 of the infection markers. I had to wait a further 20 minutes after the 3 sec OUCH and new catheter being hammered past my prostate while the nurse found a doctor to prescribe a one-off shot of antibiotic. The needle looked quite long and sturdy Worried. The jab was given at waist level on my right side. I felt a slight prick but nothing else. I was then allowed to go. Had  a drive thru Starbucks and bacon roll which I stopped to consume at Tesco carpark, refuelled car whilst there - E10 unleaded put in as it was £1-74.9. Tesco had no diesel at all. Feeling ok but hoping drinking water will subdue the red output.

I hope all who have had treatment or appointments today will also feel reasonably ok and soon able to put the experience(s) behind you. xxx
