Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Looks like the service is off...The buggar had eaten out a hole in.my Tshirt anyway, that's gratitude for you. Did you and LOH watch the match, I forgot, honestly, was it a fair result?, please don't say VAR decided the result, Steve Stevecam has gone quite again, I thought he would be back from Austria by now. Anyway Gilly what sort of day have you both had, did you manage your fish and chips for lunch
.it's yoghurt and warm soups for me for a few days
. so be kind when you talk about your visit to the chippy.
love Eddie and Sheila xx
I got up early, did all the chores and then went shopping. I'd timed it right today so there was no queue in the chippy - they were spot on. Sorry Eddie, I'm not rubbing it in, but soup's nice (Heinz chicken soup especially) and cherry yoghurt is the business, especially the thick and creamy ones.
LOH went up about 20 minutes ago, all sported out; rugby, football and cricket, in that order. We were happy with the goalless draw; it was a decent match, no VAR (yes) and a fair ref so no complaints. I'm sure Steve's home by now, going by what he said in his last post. Maybe he's still narked about Isak? It's more likely he's got post holiday blues as I always got them after coming home. NOT after Lanzarote. Lol! You'll have to get the needle and thread out for your T-shirt, unless it's destined for the dog basket?
Love to you both xxx
It sounds like a lovely normal day my friend, which is good for us; and LOH has tired himself out on unlimited sport, I managed a little golf, and at Mandys she,was watching this giggly Glasweigan gal, Susan Carmen exploring UK city's, Newcastle and Cambridge while I made dinner, minestrone soup, I'm getting there, but it's needing something. Its5 good Leeds picked up a point after the thrashing by Arsenal, shows they have character which their going to need. Anyway is this fab chippy near Maggies?, an early night for me, I didn't get much last night thanks to nursie, and I'm not really precious about my Tshirts, they cost £3 each at Primark.
Eddie xx
We did have a nice day, thanks Eddie. Nothing exciting but that's absolutely fine by us. Jane (winkers) and me seem to have reached the pinnacle in the excitement stakes with grocery shopping, as agreed the other day.
Our nearest Maggie's is about eleven miles away, on Jimmy's doorstep, so not near the chippy (Skippers) but the fish are fab and big ones. Yep, Leeds got more into attacking but still too much back passing for my liking. Can't have everything my own way.
Yes, get your head down as yesterday can't have been much fun and you're probably knackered by now. Night night, mind the bugs don't bite xxx
Hi Gill, Well I like your sense of humour! To say they heard I might leave so sorted things quickly is letting your imagination run away with you! I can just hear them now saying “Annette Who?” Just a number of the many here! Next time, I’ll tell the jokes! Oh, do people still use matchboxes these days!
Hi Eddie, I thought you were meant to be having an early night, not an early morning!
I wonder who Steve, Stella & anyone else who’s been on holiday got their insurance with?
Love Annette x
Hi Twirly, Welcome to the Night Owl chat! Do you know why you are struggling to sleep? I’m sorry but I don’t know much about you as when I looked at your Profile Page there is no information there of when you were diagnosed, if you are on treatment etc etc.
Maybe if you go to bed and not really expect to get to sleep but read a book, chat here or do some jigsaws or word games online, you may just drop off!
So has anything in particular been happening recently that might be the reason for not sleeping? I hope you have some sort of support around you, the nights always seem longer when you can’t sleep! Anyway, I’m here if you fancy a chat about anything or even nothing in particular, whatever suits! Do you have pain keeping you awake? I hope NOT!!
Bye the way, I love your name! When I read it I could picture you twirling about like a ballet dancer, showing us all how to do a pirouette! Or maybe you were a Cheerleader! Lol!
Love Annette x
Eddie, Gill, those Ginger Nuts sound a bit like me 'out of date and soft'. I blame the Hormones!!
Gill, glad Leeds didn't stuff us yesterday, it was a prime opportunity! Ve vill get our new German centre forward up and running... hopefully! Touchwood!
Eddie I'm glad you're out of hospital now, mothless, toothless.
Take Care
Steve (SteveCam)
