Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hi hun. MACMILLAN phone lines are closed at night but you can ring
SAMARATANS on 116 123
Right now. They have people to talk to all night as well as day.
You can ring them right now.
Take care
Hi lilymoo. The number I gave you is for people in the UK.
If you are in a different country, you need to ring your own helpline.
You can find the number online or try
'Find A Helpline' or
'Befrienders Worldwide'.
Take care
Lilymoo hun as it's been a little while since you posted I am going to assume you have managed to ring someone for a chat or have settled down with a cuppa or even managed to sleep.
Hope you are ok and remember you can ring MACMILLAN helpline after breakfast
Take care
Well, it's 'only' 2.30 and I've woken up. The radio was still on and I woke up to a record I cannot stand for every possible reason, and inexplicably it's topping the chsrts over here in Ireland.(why don't emojis work on here?)
To be fair, I did fall asleep in front of the TV for an hour then staggered into bed around 9, falling asleep quickly. Too tired to start peeling and chopping veg for my planned slow cooked mince stew.I blame the flu and Covid shots I had yesterday morning, plus the excitement of being on here and getting some great interactions.
I might peel some veg and see how it goes. I'm on cheap rate electricity overnight so often do some cooking then, or put the dishwasher on.
I have moved on to my phone since yesterday evening but I seem to be limited in what I can see, is that a 'thing? No option to type a new post, only reply. Plus, I just had to prove I am human as my content was suspected as being 'malicious'!
Thanks so much for your support and information very very helpful thank you
