Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hi lovely to see you again but sorry that you don't seem to have been helped to move forward. My previous advice still stands but remember your ex employer will fight and has the resources and expertise to do so.
I know your money situation is tight and what MACMILLAN can do is ensure you are receiving all your Benefit entitlements.
What are you hoping for in challenging your ex employer?
If you manage to secure a free hour with a solicitor you really need to be very organized and to be able to state your grievances and what outcome you are pursuing in as few words as possible. That hour will be over with very quickly. During that time they will decide if you have a case they are prepared to get involved with. Are you able to pay them to do so?
The solicitor is not there to be sympathetic. Even if they feel you haven't been treated well, that doesn't matter.
The only thing that matters to them is whether it is clear your employer acted within the law or not or that they reasonably believed they did.
So before you get to your solicitor session, you need to work out exactly what your grievance is ... this means which laws, or company policy, or terms of your contract you believe they have broken.
You need to have all your letters and paperwork in date order and to jot down the dates or sequence of any chats, meetings or phonecalls you had, state whether you saw any reports they refered to before attending a meeting in which they were used.
State whether you had an opportunity in meetings to challenge reports and to request a review or second opinion or to present your own medical information etc.
Without sight of your paperwork stating the reasons for your dismissal ( you don't have to tell us here) it is difficult to know what potential grounds you may have to stage a challenge.
For example, it may not be your ill health but your employer may have claimed that you did not follow the rules regarding ill health, fit notes, fitness to drive etc
You really need help, even if Citizens Advice only help you to locate a free hour solicitor and help you to organize your information.
Unfortunately you may have to accept that there is no likelihood of contesting your employers actions.
Good luck
Hi sorry, as you can see I was writing a three book reply to our lovely ex driver.
Homebargains dropping the ball? It is annoying when a reasonably priced item turns out to cost as much as a 'better' one when you have to add the cost of travel and time to return it!!!
Cheers
Btw you may be nuts but mentioning Ibiza foam parties is scant evidence upon which others have no reason to form that conclusion
Cheers
Good luck and well done to everyone tackling a treatment phase right now. Trying to tag you seems beyond the site's scope right now, but you know who you are so help yourself to a gentle hug
Cheers
Just read your detailed and excellent reply to Steve. I really hope he gets some help to move forward.
Aye, that's what I thought about the charger - by the time I've finished I may as well order an expensive one but then I've got the issue of will the package make it to our house???
I clumsily dropped my second choc éclair on the carpet, chocolate side down. Tsk!
if you haven't nodded off. There is rumour the end of the scooter saga showed up? Must have gone in person via the foam shenanigans!
Cheers
Tsk tsk indeed! Where is next door's moggie when you need it!
Cheers
Never know if it's posters or the site that is on pause!
Cheers
It wouldn't have lapped it up cos it seems it'll only entertain boiled ham!
Talking of dropping things, OH got a surprise early birthday present mid week. He'd just started on his Rice Krispies multi grain shapes in lashings of milk when I asked him a question. As he answers all yes/no with his hands he took one off the bowl then dropped it and the contents sloshed all over his slippers!
After I'd cleaned up the mess I binned the milk infused slippers as I just couldn't be bothered at that point. I went and bought him a new pair.
We don't half have some fun in our house.
Oi, if you're tired get some sleep hon xxx
