Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Sorry to hear about your brother Gill. My granddaughter got rushed into hospital last night had an asthma attack they are keeping her in tonight. Hopefully discharged tomorrow. Have a good night sweetie.xxx

  • Eddie is incredible. He must have determination on autopilot which somehow steers him through numerous health storms even when he is uncertain of the outcome, plus a brilliant team and family of course. Channelling my very best wishes to him. Thanks for the update Gill. xxx

OMG so sorry to hear about your granddaughter, such a worry especially with a child, I hope she is okay and home very soon.

  • Thanks so much dd. I appreciate your kind reply. She is 12 years old so she is a big girl. She got this virus that is going round school. All my best wishes to you.xxx

  • Thanks so much Ray, but he's in a lot of pain so I'm hoping his team will be able to stabilise that with suitable meds. He's also lost a load of weight so that won't help either.

Poor Eddie, he's missing his 2 dogs as well and hasn't seen them for weeks, but they're having a ball on his daughter's farm - I've seen the videos and they haven't got a care in the world. Oh to have a dog's life. I could pass on your best wishes if you'd like? Hey, I even got OH to type him a message and he doesn't do social media at all! Wonders will never cease.

Eddie told me he wouldn't mind at all if I posted one of his photos or paintings here, so I'll have a go. I'm not very good and it's hit and miss if it'll work. xxx HuggingHugging

  • Oh no, Sonia. Praying your lovely granddaughter will make a swift recovery Pray Prince will be worried sick so hugs and love to you all xxx

  • He was very quiet today and looked worried. Just heard from him. She is holding her own now and coming off the oxygen. They will review her in the morning.xxx

  • Is it Summer or is she the oldest girl?

Aw it's rotten when youngsters get ill so I'm not surprised that Prince is very down. It does sound promising that she's been taken off oxygen, so everything crossed that she's weathered the storm Fingers crossedFingers crossed

Crikey hon, if it isn't one thing it's another. Sending love sweetheart xxx

  • Thanks so much Gill. Summer is the youngest she doesn't have asthma. It is Sophia the middle one she is 12 and very slim with long blonde hair. A bit of a tom boy she loves animals and football. She goes horse riding. Skye is the oldest at 15. Sending hugs back.xx

I have visited the neurodivergent topic and made a post, which is a start.

Silliness is good. Also, I have finally written my profile (there's a pic of the dogs too) and feel encouraged by the responses I have had so far. I will definitely stay!
