Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

So Shimmer, while eldest poured our first coffees I asked her about The Three Legs and if she'd ever graced the joint.
'Pfft! Are you kidding me? It's as rough as **** and not the sort of pub anyone with a brain cell would waste life going in.' owtte.
She told me that during the summer herself and fiance had passed it on their way up town - wailing from inside was drifting onto the street so some bod was obviously on the mic. A woman just by the door was arguing and shouting, pint in hand, at an invisible entity and a bloke was sat in a bin on the pavement with a bemused look on his gormless face. Excellent.

Epic! xxx
Wow! Amazing that places like that exist - and they are often packed! I have not been inside a pub for several years. My ideal pub is at the extreme opposite end of that hackneyed word spectrum. It would be in a very quiet village, log fire, maybe one other customer bemoaning a late delivery of horse dung for his rose bush to the ex-headmaster landlord still wearing his tweed jacket, well kept real ale on hand pump, pauses in the scintillating fertiliser conversation used by the landlord to perfect the schedule on the chalk board for the local domino league which meets once a month, depending on who has not passed away. Wonderful places. I can't understand why they go out of business . xxx
Your pub idyll sounds lovely Ray, straight out of a black and white Shepperton Studios classic. Times change and never for the better, and most likely your village pub has morphed into a bookies or a vape shop. Or, converted into a holiday retreat by a wealthy London couple.
I've not been inside a pub for years either, apart from getting drinks at the beach side bar in Redcar recently, but we sat outside, OH slowly sipping his pint and me gulping my orange through the ice cubes.
We've just eaten a very late dinner and OH is complaining his neck hurts on both sides. If I'm not about later it's because I'm already gearing up for a trip to A&E this evening. It's not easy trying to read his mind.
Settle back and think of a cultured beer Ray and I'll check OH's overnight bag is ready and waiting xxx
Afternoon Gill hope OH feels better soon you don't want a Saturday night in A and E. I have been there and in salford Royal the police were there too. Take it easy sweetie and don't go rushing unless it is necessary. Keep us updated. Sending love and hugs xxx
Thanks so much Sonia, and I'll do that hon.
I know about Saturday nights and Sunday mornings in A&E all right - fighting drunks with cop escorts, some lashing out at nurses, etc. Lunatics! Anyway, I'm keeping an eye on OH so it'll be ok sweetie.
My eldest will be in Salford next Monday and Tuesday for something to do with her job. I told her that you live there but I'm not sure where she's going, only that she has a fair old walk from the train station down.
Love and hugs back sugar xxx
