Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • You're spot on hon, one bad apple etc.

Aw how lovely that your niece is going to treat you, so enjoy the chow Yum

A teacher I used to work with came from Rossendale but moved to West Yorkshire when she got a job in the school. xxx

  • Her brother lives in hebden Bridge with another nephew his cousin.xx

  • Aye, I knew you'd got relatives there and that's another nice place. If it wasn't for the need to stay reasonably close to OH's hospitals I'd move us well away from the area altogether. The coast, obviously ThumbsupBlushPray

  • Well done you. xxx

  • Ray, those slatted blind things are lovely but you're talking serious expense with them.

Two dateless brothers who lived near the junior school my two attended got round all that, and painted the glass in the upstairs landing window - in red!

We'd always look when passing and snigger, as did others.

You got any warm fawn still kicking about? xxx

  • I've never seen painted house window glass, only the occasional estate car with rear windows painted to use it as a van. Horizontal or vertical blinds can look very nice. As you said, they are typically at least twice the price of curtains. I think the surplus fawn may be destined for the kitchen. My daughter hinted at redecorating it the other day. Really, the whole kitchen, including the ceiling artex and flooring needs ripping out. It is all looking worn out. I don't fancy such a major upheaval or throwing so much money into one room. The next owner can deal with it. xxx

  • My thoughts too, Ray. Our entire house could do with a makeover but I don't want to put money in unless we have to, especially with the plans I've got in mind.

Your daughter sounds very capable and creative, so if she's happy to refresh your kitchen get the brushes out. If she's planning on doing it before Christmas it would be a lovely present for you.

Have a good evening hon xxx

  • Oh how very sad. Body found in lake in search for missing child. Utter tragedy, how must his grandfather be feeling!

    That poor family

  • That's utterly tragic. His poor family Pray
