Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • It's the coffee and biscuits you've really popped round for Kate.  Or are you stalking Geoff...hmm.

Just kidding lass.  How's life treating you?  All good I hope.

    Love Gill xxx

  • Oh Jane, I wanted to say earlier that I've got my fingers crossed that you make some positive headway on the house sale.  Hopefully the viewer(s) will find it's just what they want.  When I've sold my houses in the past, I put my most persuasive selling head on and it worked.  I know agents do that mostly now but they don't 'know' the house like you do.  Best of luck with it lass.  Hugs xxx

  • Thanks. It will make a lovely home but it needs a lot of work and I have no money.Fingers crossed for a buyer with money and vision.x

  • Wow this moves fast, I'll try to keep up! I wish I'd known this thread was active in the daytime too.

Biscuits? Did someone say biscuits? Ok but I'll only have 1 please. Oh did I say 1? I meant 21.

Animals? Yes I LOVE animals! I mean it, I really do. My favourites are donkeys, cows, SOME dogs and most cats. When I'm up to it I plan to find a local donkey place as I haven't seen many and I'd loooove to cuddle a donkey. I told a long distance friend recently that I wanted to see a donkey and she said, "Why don't you look in the mirror?". I laughed for days (and yes, I did look in the mirror).

  • That's all it will take hon, so I hope you get someone with that vision... and money of course.

Hey, one house I sold was during my marriage breakup.  It was a lovely house, but he wasn't, so both had to go.  In the hallway there was a fist sized hole in the wall where he'd aimed a punch; as I chatted to the viewers, I positioned myself so my head obscured it.  In the living room there was a huge pink stain on the carpet due to a cherryade spillage.  I instructed my youngest to sprawl over the stain and not to move till they'd gone.  I employed other sneak tactics but... they bought the house for the asking price.  I suppose I'm a con woman at heart.

I expect you won't sink to my levels, so good for you Jane.

    Best of luck xxx

  • Hi Kate! Yep I remember you of course. I think it was you I added as a friend (or connected, whatever they call it) the other day as I wanted to write something private to you, but then I couldn't of course because of the technical fault with messages. Boo hoo.

Oh and it's fine to stalk me, it's better than being avoided or ignored as usually happens to me. Teehee.

  • Jane, I have an idea to help with someone buying your house. What if you hang a life-size photo of me up in the hallway? It'll entice buyers to come in and look around.

  • That reminded me of my neighbour. She isn’t the tidiest person and I often used to show her bed and breakfast guests around. The guest rooms were tidy but as they were looking at the dining room I was trying to obscure the view of the bombsite kitchen ! X

  • You've definitely come to the right place Geoff.  It was only yesterday that Eddie was telling us about his latest masterpiece,  (honestly, he's really talented but don't tell him I told you) a painting of a donkey!  I love them too and I said so yesterday also.  I'm sure you don't look like a donkey.  Anyway, I think Kate polished off the biscuits as she mysteriously arrived when I mentioned them.

Hey, when you get time, go back a few pages and you'll be able to see a showcase of paintings, craft work and lots of animals.  And yes, it can move fast here.  I keep jumping over to Head and Neck forum and I'm going to get mixed up if I'm not careful.

See you soon my friend xxx

  • That's a nice coincidence that you and Eddie were talking about donkeys yesterday. I didn't know that before posting what I did, honest! I will look back to see some of the animals. As a photographer, I have some photos of animals that I could post. Not many of donkeys though, maybe none unfortunately.

I don't think I look like a donkey because I'm not as handsome, and my ears aren't quite as big. I wouldn't mind looking like a donkey though to be honest.

Is Kate a biscuit lover too then? Good for her. Actually, I'm trying not to eat them any more as my tummy and me have fallen out, so I'm trying to get back on it's good side by avoiding such food.

    Seeya later gator.  Slight smile
