Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hi Gill, It seems to be the same all over with greedy business men and council people not caring what anyone thinks. We have had to fight them all the way so the don’t build on Green Field sites, it is just ridiculous. Those with money just want more and they don’t care at whose expense!
Do you have a Town/Village Community Group to fight them!! I really hope it doesn’t affect you or your OH! Do you have a local newspaper you could get on your side? Worth a try!!

Hi Gill, When my husband asks me if my legs are painful, I just say “no not really, just uncomfortable”. To be honest, I don’t know why I don’t let him know how bad they can get, especially with blisters but it just seems pointless for him to be worried about me when he has his own issues to deal with. I normally just change the subject.
Honestly the worst time is when I’m in bed because the blisters are at the front and back of my legs, so it is really difficult to get comfortable enough to sleep. I’m so glad we put a downstairs walk-in shower with a foldaway seat on the wall. I can sit there with the shower running luke warm water over my legs for for over an hour! There is very little else I can do.
He is very lucky to have his “own Matron” to take care of him! I’m sure he knows it!

Morning Annette.
There's a few action groups on the go, but the local paper is now more focused on the nearest biggest town, so isn't as much interested as it used to be.
When we went to exercise class today, we passed the site and work was still going on - after reporting it'd been suspended. What a bunch of no-goods.
How are you my lovely? I hope the swelling's eased off; hubby's has thank goodness. Jigsaws tonight?
Love Gill xx
Hi, I read a post earlier by Sarah and now I can’t find it! This site is driving me mad these days. One minute I can log in, then I can’t, then I can move from page to page, then I can’t! It isn’t helping me to relax, so yes, I’m off shortly to do my jigsaws. I hope you get to sleep soon.
Hi Sarah, Yes it is frustrating when you can’t chat privately. What’s happening to our ‘good’ Forum? It isn’t very good at the moment and it looks like this will continue for some time yet! Take care!

.Thank you it is hot already here but I’m sure it is hotter where you are! I’m wondering have you had a sleep yet or like me, still trying to settle down? Have a terrific weekend!!
