Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Morning Debs, your welcome my friend, and thank you for sharing such a wonderful photo, what an amazing and handsome fella with the bushiest tail I've ever seen,

    love Eddie and Sheila xx

  • Hi Gill

We've been for a walk and a coffee before it gets too hot down here, no ferry watching as our car is poorly.  We're currently binge watching Darby & Joan on U and I'll be doing some cross stitch later.

  • Hi Eddie

The cats just pop in, we don't give them treats just a little cuddle. We don't have pets due to being away a lot in the motorhome so the visits are nice.

  • Hi Deb

I had to have a magnesium infusion while having chemo and take tablets. I can't say I noticed any difference, it was just highlighted in my regular blood tests.

    Glad you got some sleep.

  • It all sounds good to me lass, so enjoy the day.  Hope your car gets better soon xxx

  • Morning Gilly, I've been up a couple of hours as I volunteered for baby dutiesGrinning, so mum and dad could have a lie inLying face, my friends Maine Coon is a Tom, not called Tom, he's called Yeti, and as Poppy's always been in his life they are good friends. So you looked up the nerve, not having surgery as an option mine is Relieveddamaged, but sadly for many guys going down the surgery route this isn't the case, with some truly heartbreaking ramifications, which could be lessened if they were told all their options. We're setRelievedng off to the beach soon, and we take our own food whenever we have the little ones, not sure whereabouts on the North Wales coast we're going, all we want is a quiet place to relaxRelieved. So any plans for yourself and LOH today my friend, something nice and not just pest control?.

    love Eddie and Sheila xx

  • A purrfect relationship then Helen, are you away somewhere, or maybe planning something?, I remember you were going to the South East to spend a little time with friends before they went home to Spain, have a lovely day my friend.

    love Eddie and Sheila xx

  • Yeti is a great name, perfectly matching his white coat.  My eldest lovingly pampers a sweet boy who lives further up the road from her - she recently found out his name is Crunchie, as he's a ginger Tom.  I love the names folks give their furries.

Yes, I'm playing Rent o Kill again but not much else.  Enjoy the coast and the picnic.  Superb xxx

  • HI Gilly, we're not long back from Rhos on Sea, a lovely few hours of doing not a lot. perfect. about 18 years ago, there was a lovely, pure white tom cat which used to come to the garden, I had 2 jack Russell's at the time, so was a little concerned for him as he would sneak in the kitchen to see if the dogs had left any food, he was a little thin, but unneutered, so didn't think much of it, but put a little food out for him as he was so affectionate, and miraculously, my 2 JRs put up with his popping in, then these large brown marks started appearing on his skin, and he'd often have a limp, it turned out the B#@tard who was supposed to take care of him, was not only neglecting him, but abusing him, she thought it was funny to stub her cigs out on him and hit him, my girls put her right and he went to live with my eldest. poor fella had his wotsits removed, but had a wonderful 16 years of love and companionship.

    love Eddie and Sheila xx

  • Aw the poor, poor pussycat. Don't you just detest cruelty to animals? The thing is, no matter how badly they've been treated, they almost always put their trust in people who show them love. Well done your girls, for coming to his rescue, so a happy ending for the boy xx

Sounds like you've had a perfect day and that's what we like to hear Eddie. We've had a quiet one but nice and calm - no racing about, just taking it easy, so we're all content.

Much further up thread, I remember that Knat is due to have her op tomorrow, so I'll send her my best in the morning and if anyone else wants to do the same.

Lots of love to you and Sheila xxx
