Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Hi Eddie, we're in Rye until tomorrow.  Home for 1 night as I have my diabetes blood test on Monday morning, then after that we're off to Canterbury to meet some friends as they're on their way home to Spain in their motorhome.

After being mostly out of action since July last year I'm making the most of the summer.

  • Wow Helen, that's some journey for an appointment, I  hope it goes well for you, and can emphasise as on our holidays to the Scilly's this year, the kids mum and I had to return to Yorkshire for our cancer treatments, beforer eturning, lol, and well done making the most of things and getting away all you can, a philosophy I share, and  have a wonderful time in Rye and Canterbury with good friends.

  • Hi Gill

You're not too far out with your guess! I'm originally from a small town between Leeds and Bradford, so very near where you lived.

    Now living in Southwest Scotland.....

  • Evening Kate.

Aha!  I'll take one more guess and then quit - Pudsey perchance?
