Hi,
Planning on our first holiday since bowel cancer and stoma fitted.
When we fly I will have to take my small bag with bits (spare bags, wipes and removal spray) with me.
Do I have to get any sort of form/paperwork to allow me to take this through security etc?
Hi LenC
I’ve done quite a number of holidays abroad with 2 stomas so have had quite a bit of experience. I’d like to suggest to come and join us in the stoma support group as we’ve had a lot of discussions about this and you may pick up some useful tips and advice.
More people who have the relevant experience are likely to see your post in this group, so if you post your question in there I’m sure you’ll get a lot of help.
Sarah xx
Hi LenC
That's great to read that you're planning a holiday and I hope you have a lovely time.
As the online community is divided up into different support groups, I hope you don't mind me recommending that you also join and post this question in the ileostomy, colostomy and stoma group as you'll then connect directly with others who will have travelled with a stoma.
To join just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
