Hi, I was diagnosed with No special type stage 1 grade 2 breast cancer just after christmas.
I am due to have a wide excision and some lymph nodes to check, I have been told I will need radiotherapy and possibly chemotherapy. I just wanted to see what treatment others have had with a similar type of cancer as me I am hoping I won't need chemo has anyone had to have chemo for stage 1b.
Hi Mum36
My breast cancer was originally Stage 1, grade 3 but restaged to Stage 1b after tiny amounts of cancer cells were found in one lymph node. This meant that I was offered both chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Hi latchbrook
Thanks for the reply, hope ur doing well I am just really hoping to avoid chemo as I have 3 children at home to look after.
Did you decide on chemo?
Yes, I decided to have chemo and, apart from losing my hair, didn't really suffer with any major side effects.
That's reassuring to know thanks so much for the reply x
