Hi :)

I'm 28 years old. I've recently had two surgical biopsies done and awaiting my results!

I've been to 3 different doctors, the first two dismissed me saying it was mastitis (I've never been pregnant or breastfed), the third doctor straight away referred me under the 2WW and my new surgeon who completed my biopsies said it definitely isn't an infection.

The symptoms came on very suddenly... tender and hot breast, a rash that spread across both breasts, extreme fatigue and tiredness and some pain, etc.

They said it's likely to be cancer and after doing my own research (I know... I shouldn't google it seems like my signs and symptoms add up for it to be IBC) and I'm just looking for somewhere to write down my thoughts and feelings.

I'm quite scared, but I'm trying to stay positive!

If anyone needs a friend or someone to speak to, my inbox is always open Slight smile

  • Hello,

Thank goodness the third doctor referred you! I’m sorry you had to wait and the first two doctors dismissed it. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer last year at 32. The doctor I saw said my lump didn’t seem anything to worry about but as I was over 30 she still referred me and im so glad she did. I had all the tests, biopsies, mammograms etc and found out 2 weeks later I had Cancer.

it was a tough and scary time, I can completely sympathise with you. Hopefully you aren’t waiting too long for your results. Once I had my results, I must admit the hospital were really quick in organising my treatment and getting a plan together.

Do you have a good support network around you? I have family and friends I could speak to but also the breast care nurses were amazing as well and answered any questions I had. And there is always the forum on here.

Take care and hopefully you are not waiting too long to hear back.
