Hugs to all who read this. I hope I can encourage you all. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2009 2 weeks before my 45th birthday and was operated on 2 weeks after my 45th birthday in October 2009, UNDER 50, and here I am now very old at 58!! having had a second breast cancer 6 years ago in October 2016. I won't lie: the 2 years following each diagnosis were the scariest times ever but then things got a bit easier as time went by and I began to realise "this thing hasn't killed me yet". My kids were aged 10, 7 and 3 the first time around and 17, 14 and 10 the second time. Priorities and feelings change for sure. I'd just like to encourage everyone to be good to yourselves and take some "me time" and look after yourselves and just keep going at your own newfound pace in life as best you can. X
