just joined starting tamoxifen tonight

Hi I have had lumpectomy with reconstruction and am to start tamoxifen tonight and then radiotherapy in January. I am concerned about the side effects of tamoxifen and taking it during radiotherapy. Anyone here in a similar stage or had tamoxifen during radiotherapy?

  • Hi  I started tamoxifen after radiotherapy but had they told me to start before I don't think that would have worried me as I can't see why it would be a problem.  I'm not medical qualified so I don't know for sure so best ask your oncologist but I assume that if this is what they have advised then it must be ok.  No harm in asking though if it's worrying you.
