Hi all I’m Sarah and I’m 31, Today I attended the breast clinic for the first time for a small lump on the underneath of my breast the nurse felt my lump and sent me for an ultrasound..

originally the lady doing the ultrasound said oh it just looks like a lump of fat then her face changed and she said oh actually I think we better to a biopsy... the look on her face has terrified the life out me!

So they have taken a biopsy and now I have to wait 2 weeks for the results they have said the lump is oval and around 7mm.

I really don’t know the point of this post all I know is I’m scared, can’t stop crying and worried I’m going to die even though I don’t know for certain what it is..

Is there anyone been through similar and been okay??

  • Hi 31 andscared welcome to the forum and I am so very sorry to hear what has happened for you. It all happens so quickly and none of us know how to feel so you are not alone you are however very young and certainly mine was caught at a much older age than yourself but I feel sure that someone in your age group will be along soon to have a chat with you.

The point of your post is that you are scared and you are looking for some re-assurance which we could give in bundles for you but no one knows what that lump is and we all hope that turns out to be nothing of any concern and we will celebrate along with you.  What we can do in the meantime is be here for you and support you in anyway and as much as we can until those results are in so please do keep in touch and let us know how it goes for you.

Sending some huge big hugs your way for now and remember 7mm is small so perfectly treatable and doable if it comes to that for you.xxxx
