  1. Hi, my hair fell out during chemo, which thankfully  ended in Nov 2019. My Radiotherapy ended end of Jan 2020 and my hair very quickly started to grow back which I was really pleased with. The texture was very different to how it was before, soft like baby hair and curly. It was like my hair had a sudden growth spurt but then i noticed it started thinning and falling out, literally coming out in my hand when I touch it. I'm scared to wash it incase it all comes out! I've had a few different brands of tamoxifen and the one I'm on now is one I haven't had before, I'm wondering if it's related to the tamoxifen, has anyone else had this issue?? I just want my normal hair back x

    Hiya

i cold capped also and the same as yourself it didn’t all fall out. I finished chemotherapy a week ago and have to start hormone treatment in 2 weeks so trying to get as much information from people as I can. I suppose life is no longer normal as I know it and need to adjust to a new normal which is hard to accept

  • Hi,

I finished chemo in March last year. I started taking exemestane (and I’m still taking it) and I had zoladex injections until November when I had my ovaries removed (to save have the monthly injections for up to 10 years). I used the cold cap, but lost a lot of hair from my crown. It’s grown back really well though, with no thinning. Might be worth a try and see how it works for you?

    Best wishes,

    Sarah
