Had mammogram was called back following week for ultrasound and had biopsies then following week dr confirmed it . Said it’s in the ducts but had nothing to do with discharge it’s also in my lymph nodes . Just had ct and bone scan and have to go for MRI . Am totally freaked every ache and pain I keep thinking it’s spread I’ve 4 kids  17-11 and am so worried for them and my husband .

Hi , sorry haven’t been on here in a while . Had all scans done and thankfully they all came back clear . Huge relief as we were imagining the worst .

Have to meet with the oncologist in a couple of weeks then will start chemo and also have to have herceptin injection every 3 weeks.

Just want to get started on this now as I’m ready to fight and face what’s ahead of me .

    Will keep in touch. Xxxxxx

Hi there , discharge was a greenish/ brown colour was told it had nothing to do with the diagnosis . Ultrasound just said it was in the ducts and in 3/5 lymph nodes .

All other scans were clear thank goodness.

Hope all goes well for you with your results .

    Take care xxxx

Thanks for sharing Hudders84, I’ll definitely have a look at your blog. I’ve also set up a FB page to help ladies cope but am not allowed to share the details on here. The moderators edited my post. :(

    Hi BigJean,

so sorry that you find yourself in our ‘club’ and it’s natural to feel freaked out. You’re in the system now which is the best place to be. You will get the best treatment and support and of course, you have us lot to rant at too.

We’ve all been there and whilst we might all react differently, we all have a common situation to share so use our experiences. Please don’t google anything unless you’re going to stick to the Macmillan site, Breast Cancer UK or any proper NHS sites. You’ll scare yourself to death on other sites.

Of course it’s is to you what you tell your kids but my personal view is to be honest. At those ages they’re raging with hormones and I remember being so selfish st that age (I’m not suggesting your kids are selfish by the way) but I know that if I thought my mum was poorly I might have been more inclined to help with the dishes or clean my room etc without making her life harder. You have to be a bit selfish right now and that includes making this journey as stress free as positive for yourself.

Stay strong and you know where we are if you need us xx

    Hi Amy D ,

Thank you for your reply . I’ve had all the scans and tests done and thankfully they all came back clear . I’m meeting with the oncologist on Thursday and then will start chemo after that . I’ve to go on herceptin aswell don’t really know too much about it the nurse just gave me a leaflet about it . It says they will monitor my heart while on it . Bit freaked as there are heart problems on my Dads side .

Have told my kids the truth and they seem to be taking it ok . Told them that the doctor said it is treatable and I will get better . I’m ready to fight this for them and my husband.

Ill let you know how I get on .

    Take care . Xxxxx

  •  Are you allowed to private message your FB page, I certainly find it positive and uplifting. I’m sure lots of ladies would benefit from it.

    Hi All ,

sorry haven’t been in here in a while . Had last test done today Echo on my heart ( which girl said all looked normal) .

    Starting chemo this Friday !

Just want to ask a question when I met with the oncologist he told me my cancer was curable but didn’t stage / grade or give me any percentages ?? A friend who is going through the same and under the same oncologist he gave her percentages on her BC !

should I be worried or not ?? Trying my best not to start worrying.

Sorry to rant on ..... again Cry
