Hi. I have been diagnosed with triple positive BC back in June. I have just finished chemo and awaiting surgery. I m getting a bit anxious especially when I start thinking about reoccurrence. I know i Hearthaven't finished the treatment yet but my head is already way in the future and freaking out. I really need some positive stories from you ladies with similar diagnosis. Thank you ladies! Heart️

  • Yes I'm pleased as well. It has been a long way so far however outcome seems quite good. Can I ask why did you have opp first?! I thought with our type neoadjuvent therapy would be first. Xxx

  • Mine was 20mm I think in early stage it can be either. Scan, mri on my nodes showed them clear, and they was clear after surgery. I believe her2 treatment is to stop reoccurence so can be either. My tumour was removed with clear margins and they do a cavity shave on the area itcwas removed from and mine was free of cells. Unfortunately they didn't get clear margins on pre cancerous cells dcis, so after chemo I am having another surgery.  Did you cold cap during chemo xxx

  • I see. I think each hospital has slightly different protocol. I did cold cap and I kept my hair, thinner but you can't really tell if I wear a pony tail. It is not that bad, I had a headache only once while wearing it, after that always took 2 tabs of paracetamol before the treatment. Xxx

  • Well done for completing your chemo, I want mine to start now and crack on with it. How was your sickness did you get much. I am not usually a sickness person, so hoping that helps xxx

  • Thank you. I didn't have any sickness, straight after chemo you will have to take antisickness tabs for few days and steroids. I think those masked very well feeling of sickness. After first cycle I had very bad diarrhoea, then it changed to constipation which I m still fighting with, have drugs for that plus diet. Tiredness is a big thing, especially first week, after that it is fine. I walk a lot to help fatigue and keep my mind and body fit. You will be fine, keep diary how you feel and what you have achieved, it helps to notice a pattern. Xxx

  • Thank you, did your oncologist explain about chemo for triple positive. I was worried there wasn't one, but your tumour has gone thats amazing xxx

  • Was yours grade 2 er positive pr  positive xxx

  • It was grade 3. Triple positive has few types of chemo they usually use, it does depend on an individual and hospital protocol. The silver bullet is the phesgo injection which is immunitherapy. There is a movie called "proof of life", watch it if you have time. Xxx

  • Thank you I will try and watch that. Are you going to have hormone tabs then xxx

  • Yes, tamoxifen I think for 10 years. Xxx
