Hi Katkin
I hope you don't mind me replying as my cancer was endometrial but by doing so it will bump your post and hopefully someone with more knowledge about the genetics will respond.
You could in the meantime give the Support Line a call and one of the nurses may be able to tell you about the genetic side of things. I will also pop a link with some info that may be helpful.

How are you finding the chemo? I found mine quite hard at times. I hope you are not having too many side effects. I also had some radiotherapy and it can be hard mid treatment when there is still some way to go.
I can understand the worry when you are a Mum as well. I hope that you can get some answers soon but please do talk things through with one of the Macmillan nurses on the Support Line if you feel it would help.

No thankyou for your reply, yes I agree chemo has had its challenges , mainly on the ec, now I'm on paclitaxel seems a little better. Sat next yo a lady in chemo today , her family member had same gene , she herself was neg, but she told me that she had to hVe further surgery ( double mastectomy ) and ovaries removed. So I'm guessing will be same for me. Shall await my virtual appointment on the 23rd.
Hope your journey successful, and bles you for getting in touch . Xx
Just seen this. I have exactly the same diagnosis. I had no history of breast cancer in my family so was a total shock to find a lump in march 23. Chemo finished in Dec 23. I didn’t have radio as I had already decided to have risk reducing surgery. I had amazing support from genetic consultant (Bristol) and am having my op next week. I have decided to go for implant based reconstruction as I didn’t want to put myself through the diep procedure. Will then have my ovaries and tubes removed over the next few months. I have a son and daughter and they will have the genetic test done. Fingers crossed they are not carriers. Having risk reducing surgery is within my control whereas nothing about the cancer was in my control. You are not alone x
