Could anyone advise, I know it is a personal choice but would appreciate other's views.
I am mid 30s have BRAC-2, opting for mastectomy and reconstruction hopefully a DIEP if viable. However I would like to try to have children.
Hi SARAH12345 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm not a member of this group but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list where it'll be easier to spot.

Hello Sarah12345, I found out I was Brca 1 positive in my mid thirties. It’s been seven years since and I’ve taken a slower road than I first thought. Personally becoming a mother is not something I’ve yearned for or known I wanted to be. I can remember being asked if I wanted to use an egg freezing process as well as there being some IVF options becoming more available. I thought long and hard and while it’s still not easy to make such a black and white choice about having kids I feel this is the right one for me.
