Hi All,

So not been on the online forum for a while but wanted to reach out. First diagnosed with BC in 2016 age 45 shortly after diagnosed having the BRCA 2 Gene. Had 8 rounds of Chemo and then Bilateral Mastectomy with a Diep Flap. All went well, all cancer removed and OP went really well, so well in fact there was no need to Radiotherapy, so had to be a bonus right? Skip 5 years on to 2 weeks off being in remission and bang, diagnosed with a reoccurrence BC in exactly the same breast and same place, couldn't believe it and still can't now 12 months on. So another journey of Lumpectomy, 6 rounds of Chemo and 15 rounds of Radiotherapy. Left now absolutely petrified of it returning again. Taking new Hormone medication as Anastrozole failed to work.

I am now left feeling so fatigued, diagnosed  with depression and totally lost. I have lost all confidence in myself and don't like this feeling at all.

Anyone else feeling like this? Anyone have any positive suggestions to help with Fatigue?

  • Hi

I'm sorry to read how you've been left feeling after having a recurrence with breast cancer.

I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you also post this message in the breast cancer group as it's a much more active group than this one and you're bound to connect with others who feel as you do.

If this is something that you'd like to do, clicking on the link I've created will take you directly there.

When you feel up to it, it would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

    Sending virtual (((hugs)))
