My husband - Chris - died on the 2nd May 2009 because he had anal cancer. He knew he was going and we spoke about lots and lots of things before he died. That is why I am just not prepared for the huge amount of guilt I feel now. I feel guilty that the world hasn't stopped turning round even though he has died. I feel like everything should stop as a mark of respect. I also feel very guilty that he had to be so ill he had to die. What a cruel cruel thing it is to make someone so ill their body just stops working. I wasn't ready for him to go. I really really hope these are normal feelings because I must hang on to my sanity for the sake of my 3 children. I have never known sadness like I feel right now. I can't believe that I will not hear his voice or feel his touch again. We were married for almost 32 years and I have known Chris for 34 years - since I was 16. What happens now? Ailsa

You just leave my chocolate alone, lady kaz!!!
All was well until about half past 5 when the wind blew the back door shut and trapped Charlie kitten's paw; after we got him out from under the shed where he went tp lick his wounds, we rushed him to the vets and she thinks he's fractured it so we've left him there for x-rays and possible operation.
    oh joy!!
    woe is me!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi all,

    Hi Ailsa
thanks for the chocolate cake and no, I won't be sharing it with anyone.

he will have his x rays at 11a m tomorrow and I'll ring at lunchtime when the x rays should be back; when you think how long it takes for humans to get xray results, it seems a bit wrong somehow!

We seem to have hijacked your thread, Ailsa,I hope you don't mind!

Hope everyone else is okay this evening? I'm going off to a quiz with my parents shortly. Lynne & Gayle - you both seem to be getting there with your trying week this week. You will both be exhausted by the time the weekend is over but I am sure you will do yourselves and your families proud.
Hello Fiona, how are you? Welcome back Kev. Glad you had a good time. I am off camping next weekend for a week (from the 29th). I'm going to Scarborough with the kids - we are taking 4 tents!

Kaz - I don't fancy chocolate with jacket potato one bit! I used to do salsa classes. I might have a look around for another class.

Your sister sounds like great fun Patricia. I'm hope your days at work start to improve a little more soon.

Hi Coral - I managed to go to bed a little earlier last night and it really makes a difference so i am going to try again over the weekend. Hope you are okay.

Helen - I have the painting bug now. I am going to get cracking on Saturday morning - paint, brushes and dustsheets already at the ready. Sadly excited by the prospect!!

    Take care everyone. Ailsa xx

Don't worry about hijacking the thread Sue - or anyone else for that matter. I started it because I needed support and I certainly get that from this thread so I hope everyone else does as well. I love chatting to everyone who posts and it really gives me a lift. Here's to the next 1,000 posts just as Helen says xx Ailsa
