i lost my wife on 21/03/26. we have 3 lovely children but i feel so alone even though i am never on my own. just wanted to reach out for help or advice and maybe help others.
Yes they do ask for that to ensure the site is safe. Yes I took a few days to decide to go ahead, but i was then comforted by how safe it made me feel and everyone is who they say they are. You will face it when you feel ready.
Ive done some of the zoom meets. Depending on where you live, it can be quite active or, like in my area, not very active. I know you said you dont want to socialise or do cafes etc. I have found having a cuppa with one or two other widows really helpful as they all get it, and they are good listeners. Ive found it really hard to put myself out there a bit as Im not naturally gregarious, social person and meeting new people is exhausting.
But i have to hope that in time, I will make new new friends.
