I thought I would share this with you all in the hope it bring`s a smile to someone.
A few day`s ago on a solo visit to the place where " every little help`s," I decided to view and buy a black tie.
In a shop with thousands of feet of retail space, clothes for him clothes for her clothes for the kids I thought it would be a
simple task WRONG!.
I decided to ask one of the idiot`s sorry assistants what I was looking for, I was told " we don`t have black ties but we do
have Christmas stock in and was shown a poxy Rudolf tie with a big grin and a happy scene.
Has the world gone nuts?, after 22 years I am trying to prepare to say goodbye to my world, I will be head mourner at a
funeral not a circus.
Please stay safe and try to stay strong, I feel your pain when I read the posts on the forum.
John
Hi John, I have had a smile at your post because my interpretation of black tie is different to yours. Agree not in the way the assistant tried to deal with the matter. For me black tie means bow tie & dinner jacket!
my husband usually found he needed somewhere like Greenwood’s to get proper gents attire, Hope you managed to get sorted and I’m sure you will look very smart on the day
sending hugs & strength to you too
Tracey xx
Thank you Ellie
My wife would have had a good laugh at the saga, I tried another supermarket with a clothing section and was advised
to go to the local charity shop!
Life can be a difficult journey and some try to make it a little harder.
Stay safe and strong.

Thank you Tracey,
I have not found a tie yet, it is easier to send a tin can to Mars.
I have a plan, i was advised to go to a charity shop so that will be the next stop.
Stay safe Keep strong.

Try Marks & Spencer for a tie or order one off Amazon if you use it.
Lewin's will always have a black tie - or any of the shirt makers
Hi Pooka,
Yes good old m&s, from sexy knickers to pants and guess what black ties.
The only place on my high street to get one.
Stay safe.
John.
Hi Amanda,
Thank you for the reply, I managed to buy one at m&s.
I am trying to get my head around your post stuff being in the same position, I will try and reply to it soon.
Stay safe.
Big Hug.
John.
Hi John,
Glad you have got sorted with a tie
hugs

Thank you Tracey,
With a nice white shirt a pair of black jeans and a black fleece a mirror polished pair of shoes I could be ready.
But I am not, my heart is broken my life seems empty and the nights are colder and longer.
All of a sudden at 53 the world is a different place.
Stay safe, Big Hug.
