Hi there,
I have an appointment at the genetics clinic tomorrow and am feeling very anxious. My Sister passed away in December after a horrendous 2 year battle with Bowel Cancer. She was in her 40s. My Dad was in his 40s too when he died from a Brain Tumour. Having explored my family history they have decided I meet the criteria for testing. Has anyone else been through this and can explain a bit about it? I’m assuming it’s Lynch Syndrome they are investigating and it will be blood tests they take tomorrow. Any information would be great. Thanks.
Hi Sunshine44
I'm sorry to read that you've lost both your sister and dad to cancer and it's natural that you want to know what will happen tomorrow.
I've searched the groups and it looks like a lot of people with Lynch Syndrome post in the womb cancer group so I'm going to recommend that you join and post in that group. That will give you a chance to find out what you might expect to happen tomorrow.
If you'd like to join that group just click on the link I've created which will take you straight there. Once you've joined you can start a new post in the same way as you did here.
You might find this information from Macmillan about Lynch Syndrome helpful to look through.
Wishing you all the best for tomorrow.
Thanks so much latchbrook I’ve posted there too. I really appreciate your help
