We lost my dad 2 months ago, it all happened quite fast. My mum has completely lost herself and I don't know how to help her. I'm finding myself losing my patience with her because she isn't helping herself. She won't eat unless she's with someone, she's losing a lot of weight and I'm worried. I'm due to give birth in less than 3 weeks and I won't be able to check in everyday like I do now. Has anyone got any advice?

Hi Louise274933
Sorry to hear about your dad and your very understandable concerns about your mum. I wonder if there is anyone else who might be able to look in on your mum while you have her grandchild. I might hope that might help to pick her up a bit and you might be able to get her involved there and that might give her the lift she needs.
I wonder if it might be worth ringing the helpline here and see if they have any ideas - 0808 808 0000 - it is open from 8am to 8pm.
<<hugs>>

Hi Louise,
So sorry to hear this. Hope you can get something sorted soon. As src60 says go to the helpline here and hopefully they can assist you in some way and try to get other family members to help also if possible. Wishing you well and sending best wishes.
