I’m really struggling to find bereavement support groups in my area. My Dad has groups coming out of his ears where he lives - 70+ miles away. But here in North Hampshire there’s nothing.
I was paying for one to one counselling and although it helped to an extent, I think being part of a group of people who are going through the same thing would be more beneficial.
Can anyone help?
Hi Nikita _UK welcome to the forum and I am so very sorry to hear how you are feeling. I wonder if you felt able to that you got in touch with the Macmillan Line and they may be able to point you in the right direction for groups maybe local to you. 08088080000.
Hope that you manage to get something fixed up for yourself if not you are most welcome here to chat with others who as you say will be going through the same thing. xxx
Thank you Granny59, I’ll give them a call in the morning. I just can’t believe there is nothing in my area. My Dad has two support groups from different charities and a group at his local church.
I feel completely abandoned.
Thank you for taking the time to reply.
I'm sorry to hear that, it's not easy.
I sent a message to Cruse a while ago but I think they are in high demand. I think they also only offer one to one counseling and I'd rather something a little less formal and just chat with others over a coffee or something.
