I'm really struggling. My mum died in April 2020 and although we aren't a close family, her loss is really affecting me. I think it's the final straw with some other crap in my life that's finally pushed meinto depression but I don't know where to turn to get help. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I feel like a complete mess
Hi Misty75 welcome to the forum and sorry to hear how you are feeling . Losing your mum is a terrible wrench for many of us and its interesting that when things in our lives don't always go to plan we want our mums and I still feel the same 24 years after my mum died so you are not alone in how you are feeling. The first port of call for you I think has to be your GP and to tell them exactly how you are feeling and why.. They can offer support in lots of different ways for you to get you through this time in your life that you have come up against and it will (despite how you may be feeling) get better.
If you feel as the weekend approached then please do feel free to pick up the phone and call the helpline and have a chat with one of the Advisors there on 08088080000. Meanwhile we are here for you as we are able to be and as you need us to be.
Sending some huge big hugs your way for now..xxxx
