Hi, I am new to this but was pointed this way for support.
4 weeks ago my dad was perfectly fine and healthy until collapsing after a GP appointment.
From then on he was diagnosed with cancer which spread very rapidly over a week and he passed away in hospital three days ago.
I wasn't there when he passed but visited him two hours before. I feel weirdly numb and a bit blind-sided. I am only 26 and me and him lived together just us so I'm not sure how to deal with it in the right way - if there is a right way - or if to visit him in the chapel of rest.
Any advice?
First so sorry to hear of your loss it’s so hard I hope you have some support around you to help you through . I lost my mum who I also lived with in March so know what your going through.
Don’t think there is a right way, I kept busy not sure of that was right or wrong . I did not visit my Mum in chapel but only because my mum said she wished she hadn’t with one of her sisters so I did not either . Sending you strength be kind to yourself right now .
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
