my dad went to went to join my nanna in heaven 18 months ago after a short, but very brave battle with terminal lung cancer. he was only 63 years old.
myself and my fiance were unable to spend my dad's last christmas with him in 2018 due to financial problems that we were having at the time. its only thanks to my mum that we were able to see and speak to him on his last christmas with us as my mum had gone to see my youngest sister and her middle daughter and my sister-in-law before she went home and she video called us so that we could see and speak to my dad to wish him a happy christmas.
when my dad had lost his brave battle with terminal cancer, my mum rang me and my fiance to let us know that my nanna (my dad's late mum) had come for my dad, my heart broke into a million pieces.
when i said that my nanna had come for my nanna is a nice way to say that my dad had past away.
i'm a nanna's and daddy's girl as i always have and always will be close to my nanna and dad.
i love and miss my dad soooo much.
Hi and welcome to the online community
I'm really sorry to hear that you've lost both your nanna and dad and I'm sure there are lots of people who will recognise the wish to 'just have one last....' with a loved one.
Could I suggest that you might like to join in with this thread as the two people posting have recently lost loved ones and you could perhaps support each other.
