Hi all,
I haven't written anything for a while, been trying to get my mind back on track. Let's just say I have good days and bad.
My Dad died on the 16 March and whilst sorting out the necessary arrangements for his funeral we were initially told no restrictions were being imposed on the number of people who wanted to come. But obviously since this have worsened around this vrius spread, we have to have no more than 10 people there. Not only that we have to make our own way there, we are not going to be able to be comforted and we will have to sit apart from each other.
Does anyone have any tips on how I can get through this. I know there are going to be a lot of other families who will also have to go through this. It's cruelty and not how any of us wanted to say goodbye to a loved one.
Though for different reasons, we didn't hold a funeral for my mother at all. Instead we held a celebration of life almost a year later where we invited all her friends and family and invited them to tell their favorite stories. My regret is that I didn't record it because it was one of the best times I had had since her death.
