I’m wondering if anyone can help me...my dad died almost four months ago with secondary liver cancer. I lost my mum two years ago so since dad has died I feel really lost. Sometimes I can’t stop thinking about his last few days and weeks and just feel that sadness.
I feel like people expect me to move on and don’t really want me to talk about it or if I do start talking about how I feel they just get awkward and change the topic. I had some counselling initially and thought I was doing ok but now it seems to have hit me.
Hello I’m so very sorry for your sad loss of your mum and the loss of your dad.
it is the most painful thing to have to experience.
people find it hard as to what to say when someone is grieving over a loved one.
everybody graves in different ways, so how you are feeling is normal
I understand what it’s like to loose a loved one to cancer my own mum died quite a few years ago and it still hurts.
my husband was diagnosed with kidney cancer last August. It’s so hard to see your loved ones go through this.
Just take it one day at a time you will be ok I hope that you will get lots of support and loving comfort from family and friends.
Take care
one day at a time. Sending you a hug
Thank you Ponte vecho for replying. I’m really sorry to hear about your husband. I can’t imagine how hard that must feel. I just keep getting upset out of the blue. Trying to take one day at a time but some days are harder than others.
Its the little things that upset me the most. Hoping tomorrow is a better day.
