My OH has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer so I’ve been upset and crying a lot. We noticed one of our 3 cats (the sensitive one) was very quiet and not himself. I wondered if he was sad as I was sad, whether he could feel the mood of the home, of his home. I’m trying to be happier as I don’t want him being sad. Has anyone else had this?

Hello Nature loving Donna
I am sorry to hear that your other half has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
I do think our pets can be very aware of what is going on- even if they don't completely understand. My cats behaviour changed during my cancer last year and they did pick up on it. They were however a great comfort
. If you click on this link above it will take you to a blog I did about animals and our cancer journey. Other people have also commented about finding similar. It makes sense though - our pets can be very intuitive and are part of our families.
