When I was going through Chemo and radiotherapy prior to the operation I would lay on the settee most of the time. The treatment was debilitating and caused me a lot of pain.
Shellia, not the most demonstrative of cats would carefully jump onto the settee and we'd be like two spoons. Her warmth, and soft purring gave me great comfort. She's no longer with us but I owe her a great deal.
Animals really are amazing aren't they. They seem to know instinctively when we're not well and how to provide comfort.
