This is Stanley, one of the major reasons my wife lasted so long was seeing him even when she couldn't ride any more.

Such a beautiful boy. Our pets bring us such joy. I’m on chemo at the moment and I doubt I would leave the house much if I didn’t have to walk my wonderful dog. I’m sure Stanley was a great comfort to your wife
He was. Towards the end I used to drive her very carefully down to the stables to see him.
