I remembered my appointment this afternoon - huzzah! I am officially calling Wednesday a success as a result.
Unfortunately, I still feel like I've got a truck on my chest and it started to concern me that being ill might delay radiotherapy or prevent me from working through it. People keep telling me I should be at home resting but I'm not that ill. I've got a run of the mill icky thing, not a terrible disease. OK I do have a disease but that's not what's making me feel ill and as it turns...
I woke up this morning and realised despite two diaries and a calendar I had completely forgotten I was supposed to go to my friend's for a walk. I can only assume she thought since I had cancer now she could no longer beat me for letting our plans slide.
As it happens I felt so rough I was in bed with Megamind (on the telly, I'm not having an illicit affair with a blue alien) by 8pm. Being ill is knackering so I think getting through work is enough of an achievement. My asthma has kicked off...
Well Mum had her 2nd lot of chemo yesterday, at least she knows what to expect this time and she's not looking forward to it. It's been tough watching her suffer with the pain and sickness but I'm guessing a million times harder to go through it so I just keep smiling and telling her it'll be ok soon.
Her hair has started to come out, it was just a few strands to start with but as we were talking this morning it just seem to be falling out every time she moved her head, I brushed...
I've decided to leave this site. It's to depressing reading the status'es and blog's. so much suffering. I can't handle It. please don't comment. I'm not going to read them...I won't be here. going to concentrate on my yoga and staying cancer free XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I went to East Farleigh near Maidstone In Kent for the weekend to visit my wife's sister. I did not want to go. I've never liked her she Is one of those people that like's to argue. If I was to say that black Is black she would argue that sometime's It could be white.
The reason for this entry. I met a man Saturday night who has suffered the same cancer that I had. we chatted for about ten minute's he told me he now has trouble with his prostrate and they are thinking of removing...
Came as quite a shock to us all when my Grandad took ill. It started as a fall in January and rapidly got worse, more falls more pain to the point that by May my Grandad could no longer walk. The Doctors have been totally useless - many trips to the GP to no avail, adamant that the pain and weakness was all due to "general wear and tear in the knees" even after an X-Ray shows "abnormalities" nothing was followed up and a short stay in a respite centre was suggested! As you can imagine by this point...
My dad received the dreaded phonecall from his ENT registrar on Friday afternoon that the biopsy's taken from his neck lump had shown some cancer cells. This was following an out patient appointment on Wednesday where the same doctor told us that they weren't concerned it was cancer and they had arranged an operation to remove the neck lump for further testing.
I feel like a rabbit stuck in the headlights. Trying to be strong for my dad, aswell as my mam who has recently lost both parents...
I've woken up in a shocking mood which is at least in part down to the fact I have woken up myself (and himself) this morning by rolling over in my sleep and headbutting HP. Just in case you are thinking of giving this a go, I wouldn't recommend it as a romantic way to start the day. Not unless you are a couple of masochists anyway, in which case knock yourself out. Maybe even literally.
I was also annoyed at myself because I made it all the way to work before remembering I had an appointment...
First proper hang out with a friend complete. I met my friend and her son for a chat and a coffee. I took all the painkillers I was allowed because my tonsils and I are still not on speaking terms but despite feeling like I'd swallowed a box of pins with a toddler's arm band inflated around my neck, I was really glad I had some time to just chill out and mull over the bizarre turn things have taken.
We'd said we wouldn't talk about the 'C' word but naturally she had questions and I suppose...
